A residence in 5100 block of Greencrest Road was burglarized and guns and ammunition were stolen. After leaving his residence at about noon on Dec. 22, the homeowner returned at 12:20 p.m. on Dec. 27 to find that a glass door at the rear of the home was shattered. Deputies reported that the home had been ransacked, and a semi-automatic pistol, 9MM ammunition and a safe had been stolen.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a vehicle burglary at a man’s residence near the 4200 block of Woodleigh Lane at about 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 28. The victim told officers that he found his vehicle, a black Mercedes Benz, with a shattered passenger-side window. A gift-wrapped package was allegedly taken from the vehicle.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a parked car between Dec. 16 and Dec. 29. A man parked his vehicle in the 4600 block of Lone Pine Lane on Dec. 16 before leaving town on vacation. When he returned at 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 29, he noticed a loud noise when starting the vehicle. He contacted law enforcement, who arrived at the scene to confirm his catalytic converter had been stolen.
