The Flintridge Prep varsity girls’ soccer team finished third in the Oceanside Tournament last week after edging Basha High of Chandler, Arizona, 2-1 last Thursday.
Senior Presley Nevadomsky and sophomore Dagny Marion each scored once while seniors Chayse Ying and Sage Shurman were each credited with an assist.
The Wolves lost to Mission Hills High of San Marcos, 1-0, in a tournament game last Wednesday.
Flintridge Prep previously routed Kofa High of Yuma, Arizona, in their tournament opener, 10-0, as Shurman amassed a game-high four goals. Nevadomsky and Scarlett Coombes each recorded two goals and two assists while Marion finished with one goal and three assists. Ying scored once while freshman Valentina Ronga registered an assist.
The Wolves (6-2-3 overall, 1-0-1 in league) will resume Prep League action by hosting rival Pasadena Poly on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 3:30 p.m.
LA CAÑADA
The Spartans have been idle since blanking visiting Newbury Park, 2-0, in a nonleague game on Dec. 8.
LCHS (3-1-1 overall) will return to action by hosting Mayfield Senior of Pasadena in a nonleague rematch on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 5 p.m. The Spartans were edged in the previous matchup against the Cubs, 3-2, on Dec. 1.
FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs have been idle since edging La Salle College Preparatory of Pasadena, 2-1, in a nonleague game on Dec. 16.
FSHA (6-1 overall) will open Mission League action at Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks on Friday, Jan. 6, at 5 p.m.
