Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residential burglary call in the 300 block of Corona Drive at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 12. The homeowner returned to his home to find the house ransacked and multiple items were stolen, including diamond jewelry, a U.S. passport and a checkbook. Deputies believe the suspect gained access to the property by forcing a wooden door in the rear of the residence off its hinges.

Several credit cards and cash bills were stolen from a vehicle parked near Angeles Crest Highway between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 13. The victim left her vehicle in the morning, returning to find the driver’s door lock had been bunched open using a burglary tool. Her wallet, which contained cards and cash, was missing.

A burglary occurred at about 1 p.m. at a residence in the 4800 block of Commonwealth Boulevard on Jan. 14. Security footage of the incident captured an unknown man and woman knocking on the door of the residence for several minutes. Later, another man entered the side yard of the residence and broke into the home through a sliding glass door. The homeowner rushed home after receiving a notification from his security camera app, but the suspects had already fled. The home was ransacked and a safe was missing.
