LCHS, Flintridge Prep, St. Francis Collect Wins

The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ soccer team routed host San Marino, 12-0, in a Rio Hondo League game on Monday.
Sophomore Brendan Kuo, junior Alan Razo and junior Harrison Chan each recorded a pair of goals while senior Isaac Reiter, senior Royce Xiao, senior Liam Rae, sophomore Armen Kozanian, sophomore Justin Chanthapak and freshman Rafayel Sahakyan each had one goal.
The Spartans shut out visiting Blair High of Pasadena, 7-0, in a league game last Friday. Junior Eliot Rae, sophomore Cole Parisi, Kuo, Reiter, Razo, Chant and Sahakyan each scored one goal.
LCHS previously blanked host Temple City in a league matchup, 1-0, as Chant scored the deciding goal on an assist by junior Jamie Saunders.
Second-place La Cañada visited first-place South Pasadena for a rematch yesterday; the game ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. The Spartans (7-7-2 overall, 4-0-2 in league) will visit Monrovia on Friday, Jan. 27, at 3:30 p.m. LCHS will conclude the regular season next week with a pair of home games against San Marino on Tuesday, Jan. 31, and Temple City on Thursday, Feb. 2.

FLINTRIDGE PREP

Flintridge Prep freshman Declan Mansbridge scored a pair of goals to help the Wolves blank Providence High in a Prep League game last week

The Wolves routed visiting Providence High of Burbank, 8-0, in a Prep League game last Thursday as senior EQ Willis scored a hat trick.
Senior Henry Brookbanks and freshman Declan Mansbridge each recorded a pair of goals while junior Leo Ferry scored one goal.
Flintridge Prep previously tied visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick, 1-1, in a league matchup as Ferry had one goal.
Second-place Flintridge Prep (4-4-3 overall, 1-1-2 in league) will visit third-place Palos Verdes Chadwick for a league rematch on Friday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m.

ST. FRANCIS

The Golden Knights edged visiting Alemany High of Mission Hills, 3-2, in a Mission League game on Monday as junior Luke Wyatt played hero and scored all three goals.
St. Francis previously suffered consecutive 1-0 losses to league opponents, falling at rival Loyola High in Los Angeles and against visiting Harvard-Westlake of Studio City.
SFHS (5-10-1 overall, 3-6 in league) will conclude the regular season with three consecutive home matchups beginning with second-place Chaminade High of West Hills on Friday, Jan. 27, at 5 p.m.
