LCHS, Flintridge Prep, FSHA Each Post Wins

The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ basketball team defeated host Monrovia in a Rio Hondo League game, 51-30, last Friday.
The Spartans previously saw their four-game win streak end after losing a league matchup to visiting South Pasadena, 51-42, as sophomore Jennifer Musso racked up 14 points, four rebounds, three steals and one assist. Junior Andrianna Pitsos poured in 11 points with four rebounds and one steal, senior Mia Oakley-Stilson registered 10 points, four rebounds and three steals, and freshman Madison Hunt tallied 10 points, two steals and one rebound. Junior Isabella Chividjian finished with five points and three rebounds while junior Talia Miyamoto had one points, three rebounds and two steals.
Second-place LCHS (15-10 overall, 6-2 in league) will host third-place Temple City for their regular-season finale today at 5:15 p.m.
The CIF-Southern Section playoff brackets will be released on Sunday, Feb. 5, at noon.

FLINTRIDGE PREP

The Wolves won their seventh consecutive game by defeating host Palos Verdes Chadwick, 62-30, in a Prep League game last Friday.
Freshman Pressley Huie poured in 16 points with five rebounds and four assists, senior captain Ashley Chea racked up 15 points, seven rebounds, nine steals and seven assists, and sophomore Gigi Mastras scored 12 points with five rebounds.
Flintridge Prep defeated host Westridge School in Pasadena, 57-14, in a league matchup last Thursday. Freshman Maddie Smith registered 21 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and seven assists, junior Kassidy Huie tallied 12 points and four steals, and junior captain Izzie Chan scored nine points.
The Wolves previously defeated visiting Rio Hondo Prep of Arcadia in a league game, 66-43. Chea recorded 23 points, eight assists, six rebounds and five steals, Smith finished with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists, and freshman Akemi Fu produced eight points and eight rebounds.
First-place Flintridge Prep (10-0 in league, 23-2 overall) traveled to Providence High in Burbank for their regular-season finale yesterday; the game ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. The CIF-Southern Section brackets will be released on Sunday, Feb. 5, at noon.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART

The Tologs picked up a 57-23 Mission League victory over visiting Marymount High of Los Angeles last Friday.
Junior captain Isabelle Risha and sophomore Ava Nawrocki each poured in a game-high 14 points while senior Meghan Garrity scored 11 points. Freshman Bella Hagobian finished with seven points, sophomore Sophia Astacaan tallied six points and senior captain Sophia Heredia recorded five points.
FSHA previously lost a league matchup to visiting Louisville High of Woodland Hills, 62-15. Astacaan scored four points, Risha, Hagobian and Garrity each tallied three points, and Nawrocki had two points.
The second-place Tologs (14-11 overall, 4-2 in league) will conclude the regular season by hosting fourth-place Notre Dame Academy of Los Angeles today at 6 p.m. The CIF-Southern Section brackets will be released on Sunday, Feb. 5, at noon.
