Local Squads Conclude Regular Seasons

The La Cañada High School varsity lost its Rio Hondo League and regular-season finale at Temple City, 2-1, last Thursday.
Senior Catherine Mispagel scored the Spartans’ lone goal on an assist by sophomore Charlotte Krinsky.
LCHS previously edged host San Marino in a league matchup, 2-1. Sophomore Hailee Takao scored a pair of goals while sophomore Samantha Neumeier was credited with an assist.
The Spartans finished the campaign fourth in the league standings with a 3-5-2 record (7-8-3 overall).

FLINTRIDGE PREP

The Wolves rousted visiting Providence High of Burbank, 11-0, in its Prep League finale last Wednesday as senior Sage Shurman amassed five goals and one assist.
Senior Presley Nevadomsky registered a hat trick with one assist, senior Chayse Ying posted one goal and four assists, and seniors Miranda Thomson and Nadya LaMarr each tallied one goal and one assist. Meanwhile, sophomore Dagny Marion, sophomore Valentina Mancilla and freshman Juliet Oberley were each credited with an assist.
Flintridge Prep shut out host Mayfield Senior, 3-0, to secure an outright league title last Monday. Mancilla recorded a pair of goals, Nevadomsky scored once, and freshman Scarlett Coombes, Ying and LaMarr each had one assist.
The league champion Wolves (8-0-2 in league, 15-2-4 overall) hosted Sunny Hills High of Fullerton (14-6-2 overall) in their CIF-Southern Section Division II opener yesterday; the game ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. If victorious, the Wolves would advance to a second-round matchup against either Harvard-Westlake High of Studio City (11-5-3 overall) or West Ranch High of Valencia (9-6-2 overall) on Friday, Feb. 10.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART

The Tologs were edged by visiting Sierra Canyon High of Chatsworth, 3-2, in their Mission League and regular-season finale last Wednesday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
FSHA finished the season sixth in the league standings with an 0-8-2 record (6-9-2 overall).
