Paradise Canyon Elementary School recently hosted a successful STEAM Night focused on robotics.
The event was sponsored by the PCY PTA and organized to introduce elementary students in grades 1-6 to the exciting world of robotics and coding.
Members of La Cañada High School’s “FLL” team, who are in grades 7-12, were on hand to demonstrate and help with the building of robots, allowing the elementary students to get hands-on experience with the robots and learn about the basics of coding.
The purpose of the event was to inspire and engage young students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). By introducing them to robotics and coding at an early age, the organizers hope to foster in students a lifelong interest in these subjects.
