LCHS Promotes 8th-Graders With Celebratory Ceremony

La Cañada High School promoted its 8th grade class at Spartan Stadium on June 1.
The celebration featured “Pomp and Circumstance” played by the 7th grade band and orchestra, led by condutor Daniel Jacobs; a flag salute by ASB President Arshan Soltanzadeh; and a performance of the national anthem by the 7/8 Honor Choir, led by conductor Jeff Brookey.
LCHS 7/8 Principal Jarrett Gold greeted guests to the special occasion. Jaden Kang and Aditi Iyer gave speeches.
Superintendent Wendy Sinnette accepted the 8th grade class, with Gold giving closing remarks, in which he encouraged students to be kind, compassionate people.
