Lutheran Church Calls On New Pastor

New beginnings are afoot at Lutheran Church in the Foothills, with church members voted to call the Rev. Richard “Rick” Hall as LCIF’s new full-time pastor at its Congregational Meeting.
The community is invited to hear Hall’s first sermon as LCIF’s new leader during 10 a.m. worship on Sunday, June 18.
The church has enjoyed the care of the Rev. Charles “Chuck” Bunnell as interim pastor these past two years. This coming Sunday, June 11, Bunnell will deliver his final sermon as interim pastor.
Following the 10 a.m. service, in the Fellowship Hall, church members and visitors will have an opportunity to thank Bunnell for his care. Bunnell came out of retirement to serve LCIF during the lengthy call process.
Hall grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated from Adams State College in 1995 with a degree in history, government, philosophy and secondary education. Hall earned his Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in 2011. He has served at churches in Wisconsin, North Dakota, and most recently in Fresno, California. Hall is married to his wife, Cathy Hall, of 24 years. They have two children, Max and Copper Hall.
LCIF would like to thank its Call Committee for their tireless work in finding a pastoral candidate who meets the needs of LCIF and the community.
