Music in the Park, a La Cañada Flintridge Summer event favorite, recently welcomed a crowd ready to hear the bluegrass tunes of the Miskey Mountain Boys at Memorial Park.
Featuring the world-class musicians Michelle Lynskey, John Marshall, Evan Marshall, Deborah Kollgaard, Alex Finazzo, Andy Rau and Alisha Bauer, the Miskey Mountain Boys have performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Disney Studios, Disneyland, the Festival of the Arts, the Laguna Beach Live Arts Festival, the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena, the Coffee Gallery Backstage and various Pops Symphony orchestra shows, to name a few. The group has also been featured performers in radio, television and film, including the Oscars, the Emmys, “A Prairie Home Companion,” and a plethora of live events and soundtracks.
Additionally, Lynskey has actively participated in the music and drama programs at La Cañada High School that her sons participated in.
At the event, the LCHS Spartan Engineering Club and LCHS band were in attendance to raise funds to support their upcoming activities.
