Lutheran Church: Theme Park, Potluck Among Summer Offerings

Rollercoasters and panning for gold. These are just a few of the highlights of a day at Knott’s Berry Farm.
Next week, attendees of Lutheran Church in the Foothills will enjoy an outing to the iconic Southern California theme park. The trip on Tuesday, Aug. 1, is open to youth and adults. Anyone interested in attending is asked to contact the church’s office, no later than Sunday, July 30.
LCIF also invites anyone with a favorite family recipe to share their stellar dish at a summer potluck, planned for Sunday, Aug. 13, after worship in the church’s Fellowship Hall. LCIF’s potlucks typically feature homemade casseroles, baked goods, salads and dips. Store bought contributions are also welcome.
All are welcome to join these festivities.
Summer worship at LCIF with Pastor Rick Hall continues to include programming for young children. Children’s Church is offered during 10 a.m. worship. Families should meet in the church’s sanctuary. After a message for the children from Hall, the children head to the Youth Room for games, crafts and study.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
