LCPC Parent Education Donates to Young Life Capernaum

The La Cañada Presbyterian Church Parent Education Gala, Young Life Capernaum, Greater Pasadena received $8,855 as the event’s charity honoree on Feb. 28.
YLC works with intellectually and developmentally disabled teens and young adults. Their mission is to create spaces of belonging for Capernaum students through faith-based fun and adventure, while developing friendships, challenging their limits, and building self-esteem.
Throughout the year, Parent Ed has helped support Friday night YLC activities, including the YLC prom in May.
“It has been our deep honor to support Young Life Capernaum through our 10% gala tithe, providing resources for parents through the Erskine Compassion Memorial and volunteerism by our board,” said Anne Bierling, executive director of LCPC Parent Education.
Entering its 45th year of helping families thrive, Parent Ed offers classes for parents and grandparents of babies to young adults. Currently, Parent Ed offers 19 classes including two online options and three Parent Express classes that meet in the evening. Their reputable program provides quality education, friendships and community. The program attracts more than 500 participants from a 30-mile radius. Visit lacanadapc.org/parented for class listings, staff bios and online registration. Scholarships, payment plans, and affordable childcare are available. La Cañada Presbyterian Church is located at 626 Foothill in La Cañada Flintridge.
