Palm Crest Elementary recently held its first spirit rally of the year, and it was the first time in a long time that all the grade levels have been able to meet together.
The rally’s theme revolved around Disney, with a lot of princesses and mouse ears spotted in attendance. The festivities began with the PCR pledge and song.
Some highlights included the recognition of students for their kindness, as well as those in iREAD, the summer reading program sponsored by the Palm Crest Elementary PTA. Students in first through sixth grade who read 500 or more minutes and turned in a reading log received a sweet treat and certificate. This year’s first-place winners were Julian Chung representing grades 1-3 and Ava Choi representing grades 4-6.

First published in the September 14 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.
