Flintridge Prep Continues Unbeaten Start

The Flintridge Prep varsity 8-man football team extended its undefeated streak with a convincing 42-20 nonleague victory at Thacher High in Ojai on Sept. 23.
Senior quarterback Alex Chorba completed 7 of 9 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown. He also contributed on the ground, rushing for 42 yards and adding another touchdown on four carries. Meanwhile, senior Noah Willingham rushed for 97 yards with three touchdowns on nine carries.
Sophomore Will Grable exhibited his versatility by making three catches for 68 yards, including a touchdown, while amassing 19 tackles on defense. Sophomore Mac Peutet had two carries for 21 yards and a touchdown.
Sophomore Owen Willingham had two catches for 45 yards, while junior John Battaglia had two receptions for 18 yards and 15 tackles on defense. Junior Ray Cabrera chipped in with an 8-yard carry, while sophomore Joseph Kearns went 2-for-3 in PAT attempts.
Sophomore Nico Chapman racked up 14 tackles, while senior Matt Chen added six tackles. Senior Kevin Zhang and sophomore Andrew Battaglia each contributed with three tackles, junior Miles Yum finished with two tackles, and sophomore Ben Baker had an interception and one tackle.
The Wolves (4-0 overall) will visit Santa Clarita Christian High in Santa Clarita in a nonleague game on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. before opening Prep League action at Windward High in Los Angeles on Oct. 13.
