It was all about apples at La Cañada Elementary School as the transitional kinders in Annabel Dannemann’s classes learned about the story of Johnny Appleseed, weighed apples, and made apple pizzas and clay apple pinch pots — all while wearing their fruit headbands.
The second graders in Karen Gilmour’s class did apple math, made apple tree art and tasted various types of apples.
