La Cañada Elementary School’s 35th annual Halloween Haunt — the school’s largest fundraiser — will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the school’s playground and is open to the public.
This year, the school is combining its annual Pumpkin Patch with the Halloween Haunt to create one fun experience for the whole family.
Dubbed “Fright Fest 2023,” this year’s Haunt, will once again feature LCE’s confetti eggs. Children aged preschool to 6th grade, as well as adults, are invited to enter the costume contest, which begins at 2 p.m. The event will close at 4:30 p.m. with a “frightening foam finale” party.
Wristbands for unlimited game booth play and a Stella’s pizza meal are $45. Individual game tickets may be purchased in packets of 20 ($20), 30 ($28), 40 ($35) or 50 ($42). Tickets can be used for purchasing confetti eggs, treats at the treat booth, cotton candy, popcorn, adopt-a-pet animal balloons, tattoos, hair paint, special games and more.
Food and drinks will be provided by Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ, Korean BBQ Bento Box, King Kone Ice Cream and Kona Ice Shaved Ice.
“While the kids are playing the game booths, adults won’t want to miss the annual silent auction to get a jump start on holiday shopping,” an LCE PTA spokesperson said. “Auction highlights include destination accommodations, concert tickets, local sports packages, hot Christmas gift items, and fun one-of-a-kind experiences and parties for adults and kids hosted by LCE families.”
New this year, the silent auction will include a category, “Fun for Adults,” with wines, whiskies and other spirits. All items will be on view in the auction tent at the Haunt on Oct. 21 or online at lcehauntauction.afrogs.org.
