Students, parents, grandparents and teachers got into the Halloween spirit at La Cañada Elementary School’s Fright Fest, where many arrived in their costumes and took part in various activities.
Skeletons were everywhere — with some even reading books — and Halloween decorations stretched from the front gate and extended onto the playground. There was even a reptile show.
DJ Mark from What a Party had scary music playing. He led the hula hoop contest and hosted grade-level costume contests at every hour.
A BBQ lunch was served, as well as everyone’s favorite cotton candy and Kona ice. Pumpkins were on sale at the pumpkin patch, as well as costumes.
