Palm Crest Elementary School students and parents recently celebrated cultural diversity at the annual International Night.
Countries represented at the event included Armenia, China, Cuba, El Salvador, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands and the Phillippines, among others. Students made posters showcasing the country aligned with their family’s heritage, while their parents brought in food samples representative of their culture.
Tables were decorated and some host families wore their country’s attire. Attendees traveled from table to table to learn about the different countries. Before departing from one table to go to the next, students had their passports stamped.
The event was chaired by Liezle Arevalo and Diana Rodriguez.
