Spartans Stay Undefeated

The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ soccer team cruised to a 5-1 victory over host Mayfield Senior in Pasadena in a nonleague matchup on Nov. 27.
Mindy Martinez netted four goals, while Samantha Neumeier scored one.
Spartans coach Kevin Neumeier said the impactful performances of Samantha Hosford’s and Samantha Neumeier’s midfield control, along with Hailee Takao’s organization of the backline, contributed significantly to the team’s success.
The Spartans (3-0 overall) will visit Burroughs High in Burbank for a nonleague match on Dec. 1 at 3:45 p.m. before hosting Notre Dame Academy of Los Angeles on Dec. 4.


FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves will open the regular season at San Marino on Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. before taking part in the Best In The West tournament beginning Dec. 9.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART

The Tologs opened the regular season at South Pasadena on Nov. 29; results of the nonleague match ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
FSHA will compete in the Back Bay Invitational on Dec. 1 and 2 before hosting Mayfield Senior of Pasadena for a nonleague contest on Dec. 5 at 5 p.m.
