Lutheran Church Welcomes All for ‘Cookies and Carols’ Dec. 17

The Lutheran Church in the Foothills is inviting the community to its “Cookies and Carols” event, which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
Guests are encouraged to bring a batch of their favorite Christmas cookies to share, celebrate the season with fellowship, share favorite Christmas memories and sing carols.
Additionally, for those wanting to honor a loved one this holiday season, LCIF will once again offer its grand poinsettia display on the altar. Poinsettia plants can be dropped off Sunday, Dec. 17, through Friday, Dec. 22. Forms are available to indicate whether or not the plant dedication is honoring someone living or a memory of a loved one who has passed. Plants can be picked up after Christmas for anyone who would like to bring their plant home.
In this season of giving, LCIF would also like to remind the community of its ongoing food drive to help feed the hungry. Canned goods can be dropped off during Sunday worship or anytime at the church’s office. Donations can be distributed to the food pantry at the Heart of the Canyon Church in Tujunga.
For event details, visit lcifoothills.org. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
