City Council Candidates Forum Set for Jan. 29

A forum featuring the La Cañada Flintridge City Council candidates will be held on Monday, Jan. 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Flintridge Preparatory School’s Norris Auditorium.
The event, which is sponsored by the LCF Coordinating Council, will be moderated by Vanessa Walker-Oakes, Flintridge Prep’s head of school.
Those vying for the three open seats are incumbent City Councilmembers Keith Eich and Rick Gunter and newcomers Quemars Ahmed, Stephanie Fossan and Jeanne Hobson.
The forum will consist of a five-minute opening statement by each candidate, followed by responses to written questions from the audience. The event will conclude with each candidate presenting a three-minute closing statement.
“The forum is open to the community and will give residents the opportunity to hear each candidate’s vision for the city for the next four years,” the LCF Coordinating Council said in a statement.
In person voting will take place on March 5.
Questions regarding the event may be directed to Joanne Crispin at the LCF Coordinating Council by calling (818) 790-5122. For information about the LCF Coordinating Council, visit lcfcc.net.
