PCY Reading Night Draws a Large Crowd

Paradise Canyon Elementary School recently held their first Reading Night of 2024.
Despite the cold temperatures, more than 75 students and parents attended, making it the largest one ever. Author Jorge Cham had everyone laughing and listening closely as he talked about and read his book titled “Oliver’s Great Big Universe.”
Written like a diary, the book is a STEAM-themed story about an 11-year-old, who is trying to survive middle school as he takes on the whole universe. The event was chaired by Kim Blaha.

First published in the January 25 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.
