Sheriff’s Crime Report

A residential burglary was reported in the 300 block of Canon De Paraiso Lane on Feb. 7 between 5:45 p.m. and 6:05 p.m. The resident told the deputy that she heard a noise coming from the rear of her house and initially believed it was her husband returning home. After her dog began barking, she said she saw the double-paned glass sliding door shattered and called 911.
After the deputy arrived, a walk-through of the house was conducted with both the victim and her husband present. The deputy made note of the shattered glass door and then walked through the hallway and saw a trail of broken glass. They entered a bedroom and the husband said that his black Dell laptop had been taken and that it contained various personal information, such as his Social Security number, bank information and credit accounts. The residents did not notice anything else missing.
The victims then showed the deputy the Ring surveillance camera footage that was captured from the cameras located near the front door. A man wearing a light-colored hooded sweater and dark pants and another man wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater and dark pants walking from the driveway into the backyard was shown on the video. Later, he saw the suspects running from the backyard and toward the street and out of view. Additionally, a second suspect carrying an object in his right hand was captured in the video.
Other surveillance footage captured in the neighborhood showed a white Mazda SUV driving on Canon De Paraiso and stopping at the residence.
