Haxton, a 2015 graduate of La Cañada High School, was joined by his parents, Lori Moody and David Haxton, at the promotion ceremony at the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Haxton deployed with the 82nd Airborne to the 2021 Kabul airlift, and he will soon transfer from Infantry to Military Intelligence. Haxton played water polo and swam at LCHS, was an Eagle scout with JPL Troop 509, and is a 2019 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the Army, he graduated from Officer Candidate School and Ranger School, and earned the Expert Infantryman Badge and Combat Infantryman Badge, and a Presidential Unit Citation for the Kabul airlift. - Photo courtesy Haxton family First published in the February 15 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.
