The La Cañada Council of PTAs hosted its annual Founders’ Day Celebration at the La Cañada High School auditorium on March 14.
The theme of the special day was dedicated to “honoring the people who make our schools spectacular.”
Founders’ Day honorees received one of three recognitions:

  • Honorary Service Award, which is presented to an individual or organization in special recognition of “outstanding service” to children.
  • Continuing Service Award, which is given to an individual or organization in special recognition of “ongoing or longtime” service to children.
  • Golden Oak Service Award, which is the California PTA’s most prestigious award. It recognizes “significant contributions to the welfare of children in the school or community.”
Charlie Wells served as the emcee of the event. The Founders’ Day Committee included Caroline Anderson, Stephanie Arnold, Natalie Hubbard, Amarpreet Singh Malik, Rachel Stanley and Keisha Wilcox.
