French Boys Choir Coming to St. Bedes

The renown French Boys Choir from Paris, France, will perform at St. Bede the Venerable in La Cañada Flintridge on Saturday, April 13, at 7 p.m.
“Les Petits Chanteurs de France” have been performing all over the world for more than 10 years.
The choir consists of 16 boys and teenagers, from 9 to 18 years old. They are considered children globetrotters, traveling to various countries and performing concerts in prestigious venues. They also sing for humanitarian causes.
As part of this international choir, the boys have a unique opportunity to discover and experience different cultures through singing and group life. Their schedule consists of concerts, television shows, singing lessons, tours and participating in the liturgy.
While at St. Bede during the “Les Petits Chanteurs de France” Southwest tour, the group will showcase music from their repertoire including Handel’s “Messiah” and well-known “Hallelujah,” Mozart’s “Requiem,” Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” and “Ave Maria” from Gounod. They will also perform French folklores and patriotic songs and exclusively sell their most recent CD.
The choir is conducted by Veronique Thomassin-Olivier and accompanied by François Olivier, who is also the titular of the choir organ at the prestigious church St. Eustache in Paris.
St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church is located at 215 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada Flintridge.
