Lutheran Church Fosters Community Programming

Lutheran Church in the Foothills would like to remind the community of its current classes open to all.
Confirmation class meets at 4 p.m. each Sunday in the church’s conference room, and Knit Together meets each Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the conference room to learn how to knit or work on a project in the company of others and Quilters meets on Saturday’s at 9 a.m. in the LCIF quilting room.
Last year, LCIF’s quilting group hand-stitched more than 35 quilts, which were distributed through Lutheran World Relief. The quilts are used as bedding, tents or floor coverings. The quilting group welcomes anyone who can tie a knot and use scissors.
LCIF also offers a book club and a weekly meetup for Bible study.
Pastor Rick Hall reminds the community that Sunday School is available to children during LCIF’s 10 a.m. worship service. Families should meet in the sanctuary. Following the children’s sermon, children can head to the Youth Room for Bible study, games and crafts.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details, including small group gatherings and opportunities to serve. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951.
The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
