The La Cañada High School varsity softball team lost to visiting Etiwanda 6-0 in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division III playoffs on May 7.
Senior Elle Leckrone, who went 2-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases, pitched five innings, while junior Bentley Labrecque pitched two innings with three strikeouts.
The Spartans posted a 7-4 CIF-opening victory at Cerritos on May 2. Leckrone, who went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs at the plate, pitched a complete game with six strikeouts.
Bentley Labrecque finished with two doubles and two RBIs, sophomore Ava Perry recorded a triple and a run, and freshman Riley Labrecque produced a hit and a run. Senior Ashley Lovejoy tallied two walks, a run and a stolen base, while senior Mia Salardino was credited with an RBI.
LCHS finished the campaign second in the Rio Hondo League with an 8-4 record (15-10 overall).
FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs lost to visiting San Marcos High of Santa Barbara 15-5 in their CIF Southern Section Division IV opener on May 2.
Senior Meaghan Coyle, who had a hit, a run and a walk at the plate, pitched six innings with a pair of strikeouts. Freshman Siena Gundersen went 2-for-3 with two runs, while junior Ava Nawrocki went 2-for-3 with a run. Sophomore Juliette Smith contributed a hit and three RBIs, sophomore Ena Ramsey finished with a hit, an RBI and a run, and senior Colleen Traver tallied a base hit. Senior Pia Costanzo was credited with an RBI, while senior Abi Blea scored a run.
FSHA finished the campaign runner-up in the Sunshine League with a 4-2 record (14-11 overall).

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves lost at Granite Hills High in Apple Valley 11-1 in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division VI playoffs on May 2.
Junior Sienna Liston registered a double and a run, while senior Asta Uziel tallied a double. Sophomore Mary Sinclair produced a hit and an RBI, while senior Alex Von Thaden recorded a base hit. Junior Elise Fong pitched 3 2/3 innings with four strikeouts, while sophomore Emma Carmack pitched two-thirds of an inning.
Flintridge Prep finished the campaign fourth in the Prep League with a 6-6 record (13-8 overall).
