The California State PTA celebrated its 126th anniversary with a Founders’ Day celebration.
At the event, located in the La Cañada High School auditorium, the group granted awards to individuals or organizations for their outstanding service to children.
The awards included the Honorary Service Award, Continuing Service Award and Golden Oak Service Award, which is the most prestigious honor.
Eighth grade counselor Shannon Brascia received the award for her nearly 20 years of service in the La Cañada Unified School District.
PTA Council President Holly Biondo presided over the ceremony.
