Date of Death

Lucinda Ruth Bramble ( Johansen) passed away peacefully on the morning of February 11, 2022, at the age of 81. Cindy was born in Long Beach, California, November 4, 1940, to Ruth and Roger Bramble. Cindy had four brothers and sisters including Jim, Jerry, Pat and Sue. Cindy attended UCLA for a couple of years along with her brother Jim, and sister Sue. Her granddaughter Emma has carried on the tradition of UCLA as she is currently attending the university.

She is survived by her four children Geoff, Kim, Michelle and Greg, and two in-laws John and Heather. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren including Katelyn, Emma, Michael, Tyler, Ella, Isabella, and Kayla. Cindy had a well-established career in many different fields. From early on, she volunteered for the Shakespeare Club in Pasadena. As her kids grew, she spent countless hours with the local PTA, including a stint as president of the association. She ran a well-respected and first-class daycare center out of her home for many years, assisting with the development and wellbeing of many children in the La Cañada and Pasadena area.

Following her day care career, Cindy spent several years working for the local Presbyterian Church in charge of largescale events that included weddings and anniversary celebrations. From Cindy’s position at the local church, she then transferred to a local dance studio in La Cañada Flintridge, named Ballet Petit. Lastly, towards the end of her career, Cindy also volunteered time with a church in South Los Angeles to bring donations to and feed a homeless population in that area. Cindy spent her final years residing in Glendale, California, and she will be remembered as a caring and loving mother and grandmother to us all.
