Philip W. Wyatt, age 80, passed away at home on April 4, 2024 at his home in Dana Point surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy, of 22 years, and his four sons, Michael (KC), Chris, David, Daniel (Laurel), three grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Phil was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on April 9, 1943. He graduated from Denison University, Granville, Ohio, in 1965 with a degree in economics. After college Phil was an officer in the U.S. Navy, serving in the Vietnam War. Phil settled in California following his honorary discharge and began a career in the medical device industry, designing and patenting many innovative devices. Phil was committed to his community, supporting youth baseball and soccer teams, local schools, and various philanthropic entities. His love of family embraced building a backyard skate park, then an amazing pool, and cherished moments with Wendy and his boys. Phil had a great love for travel, adored his canine and feline companions, found joy in card games, magic tricks, and had a passion for televised college football, tennis, and golf. The Wyatt family enjoyed their years of residency in La Cañada and treasured the friendships made with many wonderful people. Phil will be dearly missed, and a celebration of life will take place on June 18.
