Two Royal Courts gathered all in one place at the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association Wine and Roses gala at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy on Nov. 4.
The gathering celebrated the city’s Tournament of Roses float and Royal Court, joined by the La Cañada Flintridge Royal Court.
This year’s theme was “Flower Power 2024,” and guests came dressed to fit the theme. Retired Crescenta Valley Deputy Eric Matejka was presented with the Golden Rose Award for his exceptional community service. Matejka is now the community liaison officer with the city of La Cañada Flintridge.
A silent and live auction was also held, and live music was provided by “Out of Blue.” All funds for this fundraiser go directly to making the LCF Rose Parade float, which is completely financed through donations.
The Tournament of Roses Royal Court was introduced, and each member shared a little bit of information about herself.

First published in the November 9 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.
