Paradise Canyon Elementary School students arrived at the last Family Reading Night decked out in their pajamas along with their favorite blanket and snuggle toy.
Author Chris Wieland read a chapter from his second book “The Body on the Beach.” He had everyone’s attention as he read about 13-year-old detective Kat Dylan and her little brother, Alec, whose help is needed to solve a mystery. Afterward, everyone enjoyed milk and cookies.
Wieland donated this book, as well as his first-written book “The Crabtree Monsters,” to the school library. The event was chaired by Kim Blaha.
