La Cañada High School teachers Mark Ewoldsen and Tom Traeger conducted a field trip to the Hyperion waste-water treatment plant last week with the four AP environmental science classes. Students learned about water conservation, recycling and how Hyperion works to treat waste water. They also enjoyed some time on the Playa Del Rey beach across from Hyperion, where some of them took the time to collect beach trash.
