Palm Crest Elementary School held its first Mom and Son Dance, which had a superhero theme. About 200 moms and sons attended. Some came dressed in evening attire, while others dressed as their favorite superheroes. Together they decorated masks and frames and had their photo taken by PCR dad Hovik Abnoosi, as a keepsake. Alumnus Jack Mazin played DJ and had the “Batman” movie playing. The young superheroes enjoyed the full-size cutouts of Batman, Ironman, Capt. America, Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk. Julie Eleftheriou and Terrie Byrnes co-chaired the event and volunteers Claudia Dietrich-Joe, Melissa Mavin, Kim Eggleston, Abnoosi, and Mike and Sue Tilton made sure the evening was spectacular.
