La Cañada High School music director Jeff Brookey led six LCHS choirs in a selection of traditional holiday favorites as well as some international surprises. This year’s theme was “Awakening the Artist Within.” The program also featured a select number of solo and small ensemble acts. Jenn Attias accompanied all choirs on piano. Student instrumentalists included Alex Barsom, Stephanie Hwang, Alexis Suk, Josh Suh and Ana Seo. Special guest Marion Kuszyk, from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, played oboe. The concert included performances by the 7/8 Women’s Ensemble, the 7/8 Vocal Ensemble, 9-12 Women’s Ensemble, Men’s Ensemble, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers.
