The La Cañada Flintridge-based Foothill Force Jump Rope Team recently sent 12 jumpers to the USA Jump Rope Region 8 Tournament in Tucson, Arizona. The team competed in seven speed events and three freestyle events, such as 30-second speed, 3-minute speed, double-Dutch speed relay, single rope freestyle, pairs freestyle and double-Dutch freestyle. There were several teams competing from California and Arizona with a total of 91 jumpers. This tournament was a qualifier for the USA Jump Rope National Championship to be held in Wisconsin at the end of June.
The Foothill Force Jump Rope Team is a co-ed competition and performance team comprised of athletes across the San Gabriel Valley. Foothill Force promotes health and fitness through the growing sport of jump rope. Their website is foothillforce.org.
