“We are excited to have Alice return to Adventist Health Glendale where she started her professional career as a financial analyst nearly four decades ago,” Jahn said in a statement. “Since then she has made her mark in the industry as a distinguished healthcare leader in Southern California with extensive experience leading large quaternary and tertiary health organizations.”
Issai comes to Adventist Health Glendale from Keck Medicine of USC, where for the last several years she has served as chief operating officer for Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. During her tenure, she was responsible for developing high-performing teams, driving a culture of accountability, expanding access to excellent and affordable care in Los Angeles, and building trust, partnership and collaboration with physicians and department chairs. Prior to Keck Medicine, Issai held several chief executive-level positions in finance, business strategy and operations at world-class institutions such as UC Irvine Health, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles and West Los Angeles and City of Hope National Medical Center.
“The medical staff is eager for Alice’s arrival in July,” noted Dr. Harlan Gibbs, chief of staff at Adventist Health Glendale. “With her depth of knowledge and breadth of expertise, we are confident that, working together, we will continue to improve the health of the Glendale community we passionately care for.”
Issai pursued her undergraduate degree in business administration and finance at Andrews University in Michigan. After graduating and completing her master’s at Pepperdine University, Issai and her husband moved to Glendale, where they still happily reside.
“As a long-time resident of the Glendale community, assuming this role takes on a deeper meaning for my family,” comments Issai. “Adventist Health Glendale has a strong track record of providing quality, whole-person care to its patients, as made evident by the seventh consecutive A grade the medical center recently received from Leapfrog for sustained excellence in patient safety. I look forward to leading this great organization and expanding our reach of care into my beloved community and beyond.”
