La Cañada United Methodist Church youths Deven Ariana and Gregory Harder created personalized face masks during the churchs virtual Vacation Bible School Running for the past six weeks Compassion Camp discussed ways that young people can have compassion for themselves other people and for the earth Wearing face masks is one way that they can show compassion for others

At 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at La Cañada United Methodist Church, the Rev. Karin Ellis will preach from Genesis 37:1-4, 12-28. Using the story of Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers, Ellis will talk about family dynamics and how they might be different, or the same, during this time of being “safer at home.”
