Paradise Canyon Elementary School 5th-graders in Katie Mc Clure’s class recently celebrated Black History Month.
Each student selected a Black figure to learn about, some included civil rights activist Rosa Parks; former President Barack Obama; tennis players Venus and Serena Williams; and artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
After doing their research, the class shared what significant contributions their figure made in the world.
