The Ryder Buck Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor graduating seniors at La Cañada High School for whom music is a powerful instrument in bringing people together and lifting their spirits.
“The recipients of this scholarship will be deeply engaged in either vocal or instrumental performance and will have touched the lives of others through the magic of music,” Buck’s parents, Chris and Shelley, said in a joint statement. “Thank you for supporting our college-bound musicians.”
Since its inception in 2014, Ryder Buck Music Scholarships have been awarded to 17 La Cañada High School students.
Applications are available on ryderbuckmusic.com, or directly through Dr. Brookey, Mr. Eick or Mr. Stone at LCHS. Deadline for applications is March 15.
