Local Author Slated for Online Grief Summit

First published in the April 28 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

Shelley Buck, author of “Leave Your Light On,” shares the story of moving through grief and back to the light.
After losing her eldest son, Ryder, in 2013 her own light went out. In the ensuing eight years, the La Cañada Flintridge-based author has spoken on dozens of podcasts, sharing her healing discoveries with others, across the country and around the world.
At an international online grief summit, “From Mourning to Light,” Buck joins 20 other speakers, authors and experts who share their unique experiences, to help move through devastating times, back to a joyful, fulfilling life.
Speakers will appear every day for 12 consecutive days beginning Thursday, April 28. Each speaker brings his or her special insight on coping with grief to the event.
Buck and her co-author, Kathy Curtis, will appear back-to back on May 7.
