Summer campers attending Camp STEM Nauts recently spent a week of nonstop building and experiments.
Under the direction of adviser Amy Nespor and La Cañada High School Science Olympiads acting as mentors, the STEM campers created their own egg baskets and dropped them to see if their engineering design prevented the egg from breaking.
Campers also made bubbles, ice cream, lava lamps, lanyards and even an edible earth parfait, where they used the various ingredients to represent the layers of the earth and aquifers under the surface.
