PCY Principal

Students were all smiles as the PCY staff welcomed our new and returning students.
I am excited to start this new school year, focusing on our academic progress and social-emotional learning. We will continue community circles and classroom meetings at PCY, making sure students feel a sense of community and belonging. Most of our teaching staff remains unchanged, and we are thrilled to welcome staff member Mrs. Desiree Dziurgot in kindergarten.
Our state test scores were strong, and we will be continuing with our responsive teaching plan to make sure we are identifying and supporting students. Students made so much progress last year with the extra support, and I am excited to continue our work supporting students’ academic progress this year.
PCY is fortunate to be supported by so many community members, with our PTA, La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation, community partners, and families moving towards the same goal. Our PTA President Mrs. Angela Blair and her executive board are a fantastic team, and I look forward to continuing our partnership to enhance PCY’s programs and support.
The beginning of the school year gives us all time to reboot, make new friends, and accomplish new goals. I’m excited to start the 2022-23 school year with my new goals and help all of your little ones achieve theirs.
