La Cañada High School’s Class of 1967 is its charter class — the first class to complete all four years at the high school. Prior classes went to Muir High School.
A three-day reunion was held for the class, which was spearheaded by chair Gary Johnson, who had a vison for the event.
Johnson felt it was important to get the class together again. He also had the help of Rick Woodard, who gathered all the names and contacts.
The reunion weekend included a Friday picnic at Memorial Park, Saturday evening at Descanso Gardens and lunch on Sunday at the high school.
Johnson said he was fortunate to be able to reserve Descanso Gardens for the reunion due to the abundance of delayed COVID-era weddings.
The occasion included a buffet dinner, live music and an opportunity to honor deceased alumni.
