The YMCA of the Foothills has started the year off strong with the addition of Monica Percich to their team as the new community health and wellness coordinator.
Percich will lead day-to-day operations for the Glendale Healthier Community Coalition, which is supported by the YMCA of the Foothills and the YMCA of Glendale. The GHCC serves as a convener, bringing together people, ideas, and assets to discuss and play a part in addressing our most pressing health needs.
“We are thrilled to bring Monica Percich on-board as our community health and wellness coordinator for the YMCA of the Foothills in service to the Glendale Healthier Community Coalition. Monica has years of experience in community building and outreach through the lens of wellbeing,” said Vince Iuculano, CEO at the YMCA of the Foothills. “After gaining guidance from community leaders during our Community Needs Assessment Round Table in October 2022 and our internal work with our Board of Directors, we are proud to launch this position as part of the larger strategic plan to enrich the lives all of people through Charity, Community and Commerce.”
Percich is a Glendale resident who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching and leading groups, event production, as well as marketing and has a profound passion for health and wellness. Percich is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and holds a teaching certification through Yoga Alliance. She appreciates and admires Glendale’s rich history and routinely connects with people of all ages and walks of life, especially through the Go Heart Wellness Program she leads through Adventist Health Glendale.
