Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Lasheart Drive regarding a burglary report on Monday, March 13. The deputies were informed by the resident that the glass in his back door was shattered and that the burglar, after gaining entry, ransacked a bedroom closet and stole jewelry. Photographs of the scene were taken and another deputy was requested at the residence to take fingerprints.

A resident left his house in the 2200 block of Fairhurst Drive to attend a church service at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 12, and returned home at 2:30 p.m. to find his vehicle’s rear passenger-side window smashed. Losses were not immediately known.

A resident in the 4700 block of La Cañada Boulevard reported a mail theft and forgery crime after he received a notification that a paycheck he was waiting for in the mail for two days was fraudulently cashed on Tuesday, March 7.
