LCHS, FSHA, Flintridge Prep in Action

he La Cañada High School varsity softball team lost to Charter Oak High of Covina, 19-7, in a Duarte Tournament game last Saturday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
The Spartans (7-6 overall, 3-0 in league) will host Eagle Rock for a nonleague game on Monday, April 10, at 3:30 p.m. before resuming league action against visiting South Pasadena on April 12.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART

The Tologs routed host Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles, 30-1, in a Sunshine League game last Tuesday.
Sophomore Ava Nawrocki went 5-for-6 with two triples, a double, six RBIs and four runs while senior Cameron Bender went 4-for-6 with three doubles, four RBIs, three runs and a walk. Senior captain Marie Milton went 3-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs, senior Carly Crossland went 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs, two runs and a walk, and sophomore Gianna Candelora went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Junior Megan Milton went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, two RBIs, two runs, two stolen bases and two walks, senior Meghan Garrity went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and freshman Ena Ramsey went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run.
Senior Cassie Huston, who had a double, racked up eight strikeouts over three innings while allowing three walks, one hit and one unearned run while junior Meaghan Coyle, who had a hit, two runs, an RBI and a walk, struck out five batters over two innings without allowing a hit or a walk. Senior captain Charlotte Taylor recorded a hit, two RBIs and a run while freshman Juliette Smith tallied a hit, three runs, an RBI and a walk. Junior Abigail Blea finished with a hit, a run and a stolen base while senior Ellie McCarthy produced a hit, a run and a walk.
FSHA (10-3 overall, 2-0 in league) will host Marymount High of Los Angeles for a league game on Monday, April 17, at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Immaculate Heart High in Los Angeles on April 19.

FLINTRIDGE PREP

The Wolves lost to visiting South Pasadena, 9-2, in a nonleague game last Thursday.
Mary Sinclair finished with a hit and a run while Sarah Bougdanos registered two RBIs and a walk. Sienna Liston walked once and scored a run, Madison Lin walked once and stole a base, and Asta Uziel walked once. Elise Fong recorded three strikeouts over six innings while Emma Carmack had one strikeout in one inning.
Flintridge Prep previously returned to action after an 11-day hiatus and lost a Prep League game at Providence High in Burbank, 13-3. Uziel went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a run and a stolen base while Liston recorded a hit, an RBI and a stolen base. Eliza Gunter tallied a hit and a run, Bougdanos and Sinclair each had a base hit, and Presley Nevadomsky walked once.
The Wolves (6-5 overall, 3-2 in league) will host Mayfield Senior for a league game today at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick on April 12.
