LCHS, St. Francis Idle; Flintridge Prep Wins

The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ tennis team has been idle since defeating visiting Blair High of Pasadena, 17-1, in a Rio Hondo League match on March 31.
The Spartans will visit South Pasadena for a league contest on Friday, April 14, before concluding the regular season with a pair of home matchups against Monrovia and San Marino the following week.

FLINTRIDGE PREP

The Wolves defeated visiting Pasadena Poly, 13-5, in a Prep League match last Thursday.
No. 1 singles player Jeremy Sieben (6-1, 6-0, 6-0) and No. 2 Nico Stanton (6-0, 6-4, 6-3) each swept while No. 3 Finley Shivaram added a 6-3 victory. Meanwhile, the No. 1 doubles team of Christopher Fung and Ray Cabrera (6-2, 6-0, 6-2) and the No. 2 tandem of Luca Yeghnezar and Miles Cabrera (6-4, 6-3, 6-1) each swept their counterparts.
Flintridge Prep previously posted a 12-6 nonleague victory over visiting South Pasadena.
No. 1 Sieben (6-0, 6-0, 6-0), No. 2 Miles Cabrera (7-6, 6-2, 6-3), and the No. 1 team of Fung and Ray Cabrera (6-1, 6-2, 6-0) each swept, No. 3 Stanton won a pair of sets, 7-5, 6-4, and the No. 2 tandem of Yeghnezar and Marcus Lin added a 6-3 victory.
The Wolves will visit Alhambra for a nonleague match on Monday, April 17, at 3:15 p.m. before visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick for a league contest on April 19.

ST. FRANCIS

The Golden Knights were recently swept, 18-0, in a pair of Mission League matches at Loyola High in Los Angeles and Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks.
SFHS will visit Harvard-Westlake High in Studio City for a league match on Tuesday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m. before traveling to Sierra Canyon High in Chatsworth on April 20.
