Past LCF Royalty Named Fiesta Days ‘Grand Marshal’

Fiesta Days Memorial weekend organizers have punctuated the 50th anniversary of Fiesta Days and the 50th Miss La Cañada Flintridge Royal Court scholarship program with a walk down memory lane as former queens and princesses will serve as grand marshals in the Memorial Day parade.
The LCF Chamber’s Royal Court adviser Katherine Markgraf is in charge of the program and has been very active contacting past royalty.
“I am so excited to be in touch with so many wonderful women who have such fond memories of their reign as our Royal Court,” Markgraf said. “I am thrilled to announce our very first-ever queen, Susan LeFevre (1973), will be with us and she will ride in the Memorial Day Parade alongside our current queen, Hannah Kiang.” All royal members will ride in a vehicle provided by Republic Services.
Markgraf has organized a royal reunion for the queens and princesses at La Cañada Congregational Church on Sunday, May 28, and, thanks to Bent Hansen of Los Gringos Locos, each royal member will have a seat in the “concierge” section for the BBQ dinner that precedes the fireworks show, sponsored by the Allen Lund Company.
“What an exciting and emotional weekend as we reunite with our royal history and pay tribute to the men and women in uniform in thanks for the many freedoms we enjoy,” said Markgraf, who was a princess in 1987.

Do you know a past member of the royal court? If so, have them reach out to the chamber office at (818) 790-4289.
